Rosie Perez

KimRosie Perez, born Rosa Maria Perez, September 6, 1964 is an American choreographer and actress. Her first big break came with Tina's character in Do the Right Thing (1989), followed closely by White Men Can't Hop (1992). Perez was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her role in Fearless (1993). Her film roles as a star in the past include It Could Happen to You (1994), The Road to El Dorado (2000), Pineapple Express (2008) and Birds of Prey (2020).Perez earned three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for In Living Color (1990-1994) and another Emmy nomination for her performance in the film The Flight Attendant (2020-present). She has appeared in Broadway stage productions such as The Ritz and Frankie, Johnny in the Clair de Lune and Fish in the Dark. She was also a co-host on the ABC talk show The View during the series the 18th season. She graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood, Queens. The year 1999 was the year her mother was in poverty at Woodside Houses when she died from AIDS-related complications.
