Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian/American media critic and public speech writer. She is the co-founder of Feminist Frequency an online platform that hosts videos and commentary analyzing gender representations in popular cultural. Anita Sarkeesian is an award-winning Canadian-American feminist media critic as well as blogger. She was the co-creator and director-executive of Feminist Frequency, a not-for-profit educational website that explores representations of women in popular media narratives. She is committed to deconstructing stereotypes of women and the way they are portrayed in popular culture. Additionally, she is working to increase awareness about internet-based harassment targeting women, as well as other marginalized groups of society.
