Harry
Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British composer and singer. Harry Styles was one of the original members of One Direction. The child of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born on January 1, 1994 in Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school, and with his three classmates, created a band group called White Eskimo. White Eskimo won 2009's Battle of Bands thanks to the impressive presentation they made. He always showed an interest in music. However, he wanted to become the next lawyer or physical therapist. In order to provide for his family, he took a short time working part-time in a bakery. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in the year 2010 and did Is not She Lovely, a Stevie Wonder song. He was selected. This meant that his band needed to be separated. After the audition in The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles join the group that was to be called One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group, and they formed in 2010. They performed tracks such as My Life Would Suffer Without You, by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. They were one of the candidates for the prize. The group was however placed third behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Although Harry Styles and his group didn't win, Cowell agreed to pay 2 million pounds for One Direction to sign with Syco Records. Syco recording label.
