Fawn MCK Brodie was born on the 15th of September 1915 in Ogden Utah. Fawn, a member of the Mormon Church's oldest family, combined her literary talents and exceptional research abilities into a brilliant biography on Joseph Smith. No Man Knew My History appeared in 1945. The title was inspired by the sermon title that Joseph Smith delivered in 1844, when he stunned his listeners with the statement: You do not know me and have not heard my heart. Nobody has been told about my story. I am not able to tell you. me to tell you. Wrote the 29-year old Fawn in the moment when he spoke, at least three-score writers have taken up the battle. Many have mocked and denigrated the man, and others have attempted to diagnose the problem. It isn't that there aren't enough documents however they're wildly contradictory. It is a matter of separating first-hand testimony from third hand plagiarism and fitting Mormon-and non-Mormon-narratives into a coherent history. It's both thrilling, as well as instructive.
